PV Sindhu won India a silver at the 2016 Olympics. This time around, at the World Badminton Championship finals she did India proud and won a silver.
She went down to Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara in an electrifying women’s single final of the championship today.
In a gruelling match yet a gut wrenching loss, Sindhu lost to Okuhara while maintaining such a close match. The closure score was 19-21, 22-20, 20-22, wherein the match lasted an hour and 50 minutes.
It was PV Sindhu’s third medal at the World Championships, where she bagged a bronze from the 2013 and 2014 editions to her collection.
