Mumbai: In a yet another incident of loot has shocked the Mumbai where four people looted Cash van worth Rs 1.5 Crore in Dharavi.

According to the sources, The incident took place around 2.55 p.m. on Thursday in Dharavi, near the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) building on the Sion-Bandra Link Road.

On Thursday afternoon, a LogiCash van (transport company that ferries cash to be filled in ATMs) has stooped at State Bank Of India to refil the ATM. the van driver was inside van while  the Van guard had gone inside the ATM machine to refill.

As the driver was alone sitting inside the van, two men approached the driver and said the driver that cash is lying in front of the van. When the driver came of his van, the two other accused opened the door of van and fled with a cash truck containg 1.5 crore.

When the guard returned near the van he found Cash missing, after which he approached police and filed a case against unknown person at Dharavi Police Station.

In a CCTV installed near Jewellary shop, the footage shows that two men are taking away the cash truck. Police have registered the case and is investigating the matter

DCP (Operations) Ashok Dudhe, who is the designated Mumbai Police spokesperson, added, “The trunk contained around ₹1.50 crore in cash when it was stolen. We have registered a case of theft under the IPC and are conducting further inquiries.”
