With the major fire fury at the RK Studios, a reality show set too got wrecked in the incident. A source said, “Luckily, no one was injured as the set of the Sony Entertainment Television show was locked and no one was shooting…. We shot at the location last week, and the next shoot was scheduled for September 29 or 30. The fire mishap will not delay the show, and its premiere date will remain the same,” the person said.

The iconic studio has housed and shot many Bollywood films under its roof. It was founded in 1948. The films made under the R K banner include “Aag”, “Barsaat”, “Awaara”, “Shri 420”, “Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti Hai”, “Mera Naam Joker”, “Bobby”, “Satyam Shivam Sundaram”, “Ram Teri Ganga Maili”, among others. The last film made under the banner was “Aa Ab Laut Chalen”.

With the demise of Raj Kapoor in 1988, his eldest son, Randhir Kapoor took over the studio. Later, his younger brother, Rajiv Kapoor, directed a film titled “Prem Granth”. Even Rishi Kapoor tried his hands at direction in “Aa Ab Laut Chalen”.
