Mumbai: After a series of allegation against TVF (The Viral Fever) CEO Arunabh Kumar, MIDC police in Mumbai had finally rergistered FIR against Kumar of Sexual Harassment on Wednesday evening. The police did not disclose the identity of woman and have called Kumar to the police station to record his statement.

According to the sources, in the month of March an anonymous blog was posted by ‘Indian Fowler’ alleging the founder and CEO of TVF Arunabh Kumar had molested her when she used to work in the organistation during 2014-2016. The post by woman caught fire on social media and many other woman posted the similar incident of molestation against Kumar. However, no complaint was registered against him as no woman or person came forward at that time to registered the case.

Advocate Rizwan Siddiqui had urged the police to file an FIR against Kumar charging him with molestation. But Mumbai Police was unable to book Kumar since none of the alleged victims had come forward in person to lodge a complaint.

On March 16, Rizwan Siddiquee took the case forwarded by asking the police to look into the matter. Three days ago Rizwan even wrote a Facebook post, asking the women to come forward, assuring them of proper legal assistance, while keeping their identity under cover.

Then the unknown woman came forward and registered a case gainst the Kumar at MIDC police station. Based on the complaint of victim police registerd the case under section   354 (A) and 509 of the Indian Penal Code. Anurabh Kumar was been called to the police statement to record his statement.

While the TVF denied all the allegations and said it would “leave no stone unturned to find the author of the article and bring them to severe justice for making such false allegations.”

Mumbai Police are now investigating the matter.
