Mumbai: Love is said to be a blind, but what if this love turn out to be a hell!!! In a recent incident a 28-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by her husband in an auto-rickshaw on monday night. The accused husband is arrested and remanded in the poilce custody said an official.

According to the police, the deceased woman has been identified as Geeta Dubey. The incident took place on Monday night at around 9.45 pm when Geeta was returning from the Vegetable market, when the husband Prasad Rawat stabbed her multiple times with a kitchen knife and fled from the spot.

The locals and other auto rickshaw driver tried to chase him but he escaped. The locals rushed Dubey to nearby hospital but declared dead before admission. The hospital authorities inform to the police after which the case was registered against unknown person.

With the help of CCTV cameras and the sources, police managed to arrest Rawat who is a husband of Dubey. Later police learned that the couple had been married for the last four years and has two children. According to the police, an old marital dispute between Rawat and the deceased Geeta Dubey was the trigger.

Rawat has been booked under section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC, he said. A case has been registered at the Goregaon police station.
