Mumbai: A horrifying Accident took place in Bandra at Reclamation where a 22 year-old died on the spot while racing their bike at reclamation of Bandra-Worli sea-link  and performing stunts on Sunday night. The two other friends are in critical condition and admitted in Baba hospital.

According to the sources, a gang on Sunday night decided to do bike racing on the Bandra-Worli Sea link where the 2 wheeler is not allowed. The 21-year-old College student Abhijit Gaurav and other two joint him to do racing among themselves. They kick start the bike and started racing which crossed more than 100km/hr and started performing stunts. The speed of the bike was so fast that they lost the control of the bike and clash with other bike and caught fire. The incident took place at around 9.45 pm.

The 21-year-old Abhijit Gaurav thrown into the air and died on the spot, while the other two identified as Aakash Rajput (19) and Jaffar Shaikh (19) were rushed to the hospital where both condition is said to critical. The whole incident got captured into the camera.

A traffic police has registered the case.

Speaking to Mumbai Cutting, DCP, Mumbai, Sachin Patil said, “Despite of our warning, the youth and teenagers continue to perform stunts in train, road and several other places. Youngsters place bets on the races and some even post pictures and videos on Facebook and other social networking sites”.

A local from Bandra told, this is not the first the accident taken place. In the month of December this year, four friends visited dargah and on returning they plan to do racing of which one died after losing his control. Even knowing that many accident were reported on this road, the teenagers still play with their life. The youth waits for Saturday and Sunday gathered on the road in Bandra and bet racing. Many incident have taken place, but police do nothing and has fails to stops these gangs who bet racing on the road and other places.
