Mumbai: A passengers flying from Riyadh to Mangalore was intercepted by the Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) at Mumbai Airport today. On Checking him, the officials recovered 10 gold bars weighing 1160 grams worth Rs 30 lakhs. The man was booked and arrested by the officials.

According to the police, the passengers has been identified as Mohammad Althaf Moidin holding an Indian Passport arrived Mumbai from Riyadh by Jet Airways flight. As he was about to catch the Mangalore flight, the AIU, intercepted him and taken him for questioning.

After checking his passport, the officials checked his bag but they find nothing. Then the officials checked his wallet in which 6 gold bar was found. Four more gold bars was recovered which were strapped  into the battery of an LED emergency light which he was carrying. All the Gold bars were  wrapped with black colour adhesive tape.

Then Air Intelligence Unit have seized all the gold bars and arrested Moidin. Further the investigation is going on.
