Pune: A 17-year-old, first year polytechnic student was found hanging at his hostel room after the result declared and he failed in it. The incident took place on Wednesday at around 8.30 pm. The  boy was a student studying in private polytechnic college in Ambegaon Budruk in Pune.

According to the sources, the boy has been identified as Yash Rahul Borate who lived in a private hostel. The college authorities informed to the police about it. On searching police has not found any suicide note. Police  had informed to his parents about the incident.

When police inquired to his friends they said, Yash was with them, when the results declared in which he failed. He then immediately returned to his room. His friends asked him to join for dinner at 8 pm, but he refused. When is friends returned around 8.30 pm, they found the door locked from inside. They knocked the door, but there was no response from inside

The students then broke open the door  and were shocked to see Yash hanging to a ceiling fan. They immediately alerted the hostel authorities who called police. Police removed the body and had sent the body for post mortem. As no suicide note was found, police registered the case of accidental death. Further the investigation is going on.
