Mumbai: Rape has been one of the common cases in the First Information Report (FIR) copies of the police station. In a shocking incident, another shameful incident of Gang rape have taken place in Bhayandar where a minor girl was repeatedly gang raped over the period of eight months by eight men including one 17 year-old. The Navghar police in Bhayandar have arrested five suspects into this case including 17-year-old boy while three is still absconding.
According to the Police, the victim girl is Class 6th dropout resides with her parents in Bhayandar (East). The victim was dropout girl used to spend time at home. Eight months ago, a 20-year-old befriended with her who resides in the same area. One day he along with his friend asked the girl to accompany on pretext of some work took her to a deserted place and raped her. They both then threatened the girl to kill her and parents if she revealed it to anyone else. Three days after the incident, he along with his seven of his friend including 17-year-old called the girl and had forcefully raped taking turns of rape. For the period of eight months the girl was raped on different ocassions.
On April 9, the girl was at home when she vomitted and fell unconcious. The mother of the girl took to the hospital where doctor said the girl is 10 week pregnant. When mother asked girl about it, the girl brokedown and narrated the whole incident.
On Thursday night, the victim’s mother took her to the police station and registered the case against eight accused. As soon as the case was registered, police immediately arrested 4 accused while 17-year-old has been sent to Bhiwandi children remand home. Police has formed ateam to nab three other accused involved into this crime and are absconding.
Police have regsitered the case against eight men under Sections 376 (2) (n), 376 (d), 377, 504, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and under sections 4 and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
