Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporartion (BMC) polling which began at 7.30 am and will end at around 5.30 pm in the evening. The elections which is taking place in Mumbai and some parts Thane. Within two hours of voting 8 per cent of Mumbaikars have cast their vote and is increasing with the time. Not only civilians but many from Bollywood industry stepped out from the house and cast their vote.

From Anushka Sharma to Ranveer Singh and several other Bollywood celebs took to Twitter to share pictures after they cast their vote and appeal people to step out and vote for better for right.

Anushka Sharma, who began her day by casting, took to Twitter to urge people to vote. She wrote, “Started my morning by casting my vote.Voting  is our duty towards our country & its progress.Pls go out&vote #VoteKarMaharashtra”

John posted a picture on his Twitter handle where he is seen casting his vote. He wrote alongside, “Cast your vote..I cast mine!! #BMCElections2017”

Shraddha Kapoor shared a selfie flaunting the blue mark and captioned it as, “Done voting. Please exercise your right & go vote!”

Among the non Bollywood celebs who were spotted at the polling booth was cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali.


One of Bollywood’s most gorgeous actresses, Rekha too was among the early birds who cast their vote.
